Designed to remove calcium carbonate scale, rust, and salt build up from boilers, heat exchangers, cooling systems, piping, pumps, or domestic appliances. Commonly uses phosphoric, sulfamic or citric acids for rapid scale dissolution. Often contains metal-friendly additives to protect mild steel during cleaning. Usually diluted with water, around 2–10% concentration, depending on scale severity. Corrosive; requires gloves, goggles, good ventilation, and post-use neutralization and rinsing.
